What is the Cause of Lung Cancer?
Lung cancer is a dreaded medical diagnosis with a mortality rate approaching 100%, because conventional medical treatments with chemotherapy, radiotherapy (radiation) and surgery rarely provide a long-term cure. Lung cancer is normally considered a death sentence. Oh, the doctor will not tell you that. He will encourage you as he crosses his fingers behind his back. He will most likely offer the latest chemotherapy drug treatment with enthusiasm and hope. Don't believe it. People accept these hopeless treatments because conventional medicine does not really offer any other options, and they certainly do not offer any treatments that will cure lung cancer.
The conventional medical treatments for lung cancer are pitiful, but the common diagnosis is even worse. Kathy was a typical case. She had a persistent cough that was immediately dismissed by her doctor. Some of the typical diagnoses for patients with undiagnosed lung cancer are:
Do you or have you ever smoked? If you say "no", the doctor will dismiss the possibility of lung cancer. That is what Kathy's doctor did.
Did your mother or father die from lung cancer? If you say "no", the doctor will dismiss the possibility of lung cancer. That is what Kathy's doctor did.
The doctor will say you most likely have a post nasal drip, nothing to be concerned about. He will most likely dismiss the possibility of lung cancer. That is what Kathy's doctor did.
The doctor will ask if you eat lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grains while avoiding saturated fats and red meat. If you say "yes", the doctor will dismiss the possibility of lung cancer. That is what Kathy's doctor did. He may tell you switch to a vegetarian diet, but Kathy was already a vegetarian.
The doctor may tell you to get more exercise, but Kathy was a triathlon competitor.
Kathy's persistent cough became severe before her doctor finally ordered a chest x-ray. Oops! Lung cancer was an obvious diagnosis. The cancer had spread far beyond any hope that surgery would help.
Kathy's friend, a fellow running competitor, never had any unusual cough at all, but she was also diagnosed with lung cancer about two years after Kathy's death.
There are many causes for lung cancer. They include:
Chemical exposure to carcinogenic agents such as asbestos or dioxin.
DNA damage from radiation exposure from X-rays, nuclear elements and solar radiation.
Cell membrane damage from eating hydrogenated trans fatty acids.
Free radical overload from activities such as cigarette smoking or chewing tobacco.
Fungus and yeasts from smoking cigarettes.
Depressed immune system from immune-suppressant drugs.
Hormonal factors such as hormone replacement therapy and phytoestrogens from soy.
Viruses such as hepatitis C, HCV and HIV cause other cancers.
General poor health such as obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases.
Diet that is high in carbohydrates such as fruit, starchy vegetables and whole grains.
Diets deficient in protein that suppress the immune system.
Diet deficiencies that cause normal cells to mutate into cancer cells.
However, the most likely cause for lung cancer is not even suggested as a possibility by conventional medicine.
Candida albicans yeast, molds and fungus infections.
Your doctor will most likely never suggest the possibility that your symptoms are caused by a candida albicans or another type of fungus infection even though the lungs, bronchial tubes, sinuses, and nasal passages are highly susceptible to the infection. The respiratory system is an ideal place for fungus to be contracted and to grow. It is moist and is being constantly exposed to fungi in the air we breathe.

Fungi, Mold and Candida Yeast Infections Cause Some Cancers
Carbohydrates in the diet encourage the growth of fungi, molds and yeasts that can cause a systemic infection in the body. Fungi have been identified as a prime suspect for causing some types of cancer. The fungi can invade and/or attach to healthy body cells, thereby causing them to replicate as cancer cells. The immune system in a fungi infected person is simply overwhelmed by the massive assault on cells and cannot protect all of them.
Cancerous tumors can be formed by a growing cluster of fungi cells. These are not healthy body cells that have turned cancerous. They are fungus cells. Cancer is often seen in individuals who have a systemic yeast, mold or fungus infection. The risk factors for fungi cancers are:
Obesity. A high level of body fat promotes the growth of candida yeast infections due to the excess consumption of carbohydrates and high levels of blood glucose. Obese people are known to have a higher incidence of cancer.
Diabetes. People with diabetes have a higher incidence of cancer. A high level of blood glucose is a common symptom in diabetics and promotes the growth of fungi.
Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. People with IBD have a high frequency of candida yeast infections and a higher incidence of cancer, especially colon cancer.
Vaginal Yeast Infections. The incidence of cervical and ovarian cancer is most likely linked to the frequency and extent of vaginal yeast infections.
Systemic Candidiasis Albicans. A systemic candida yeast infection greatly increases the incidences of cancer. Unless it is severe, a systemic yeast infection can be difficult to diagnose. Many doctors doubt that these infections exist or don't bother to investigate. Women can have a systemic yeast infection while showing none of the symptoms of a vaginal yeast infection, thereby masking the diagnosis. A systemic candidiasis infection can simmer for many years until the failing health of the sufferer finally brings him/her to a doctor, but few doctors understand the frequency and severity of a candidiasis albicans infection. This delay in properly diagnosing candidiasis often results in one or more severe, chronic diseases, often cancer.
Chronic Sinusitis and Persistent Cough. The sinuses and lungs can harbor fungi that thrive in the moist environment where they can propagate and travel to other areas of the body.

Most of the foods that are high in carbohydrates also contain fungi. Corn has been scientifically proven to be universally contaminated with fungi that produces mycotoxins (fungi that cause disease) such as aflatoxin, zearalenone and ochratoxin. All corn is contaminated in the field and further contaminated in the storage systems. All other grains such as wheat, barley, rye, rice, oats and flax are also contaminated by fungi, molds and yeast that produce mycotoxins. The processes for manufacturing grain products such as breads, bagels, cereals and snack foods do not eliminate the fungi or the mycotoxins. These unhealthy organisms and mycotoxins pass through the manufacturing processes and remain in the food that is sold in supermarkets. Thousands of different fungi, molds and yeasts exist that can produce hundreds of toxic byproducts. The scientific research connecting fungi to cancer has not been touched by science. Carbohydrate food manufacturing companies, pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, vegetarians, and those biased groups that oppose eating meat have prevented the scientific community for getting research funding. Universities will not touch the topic relating fungi to cancer, but they willingly produce fraudulent and misleading studies trying to blame cancer on saturated fats and red meat. Don't expect any progress in the science connecting cancer and fungi. Virtually no research proving the connection between fungi and cancer is being carried out, funded or planned. You are on your own to protect yourself.
Cigarettes are another major source for fungi. The leaves of the tobacco plant naturally develop surface fungi in the hot, humid climates where the plant flourishes. The fungus remains on the tobacco as it is processed into cigarettes. The fungus is carried deep into the lungs as the smoker inhales. The primary reason why cigarettes are carcinogenic is most likely due to the fungi.
Many books and websites cloud the issue by blaming fungi for every disease known to mankind. This shotgun approach is simply not true. Blaming fungi for dozens of diseases is detrimental to identifying those diseases that are truly caused by fungi. Diabetes and heart disease are not caused by fungi or their mycotoxins, but a yeast infection is common in diabetics. Autoimmune diseases such as lupus, multiple sclerosis, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis have an indirect connection with fungi and mycotoxins through the damage of the intestinal lining and leaky gut syndrome. A high-carbohydrate diet leads to diabetes, inflammatory bowel diseases and systemic candida yeast infections. Follow the diet recommendations in the following inflammatory bowel disease page to rid yourself of a systemic fungi or yeast infection. Read the following pages for the true cause of these diseases.

Persistent Cough, Phlegm and Bronchial Mucus
The respiratory system has a demanding job and features that make the job even more difficult. The lungs act like a filter when dust, pollen and chemicals are present in the air that is inhaled. The natural moisture captures the solid particles. To make matters worse, the lungs do not have a drain or outlet at the bottom. Every foreign particle that enters as we breathe has only two ways out. It is either absorbed through the lining of the lungs into the blood, or it must be expelled back up the bronchial tubes to be discharged through the nose or mouth. The lungs produce mucus or phlegm in an effort to capture the foreign particles. The mucus is slowly moved upward by fine hairs that line the bronchial tubes. These hairs also trigger a cough reflex where the sudden compression of the lungs attempts to blow the foreign material out.
Mucus and coughing are good and necessary reflexes when the lungs are sensing something is wrong, but a persistent production of excess mucus and a persistent cough signals that something is abnormal. A viral flu or a common cold produces a lot of discomfort, but we know that it will soon pass. A bacterial infection of the respiratory system can be more difficult when the infection does not go away without the help of prescription antibiotics.
Candida albicans yeast, molds and fungus present another problem because the symptoms can be fairly mild, but never go way. Antibiotics do nothing to prevent or eliminate fungus. The body's immune system often reacts mildly or not at all. Because the symptoms are mild, many doctors don't bother to consider or cure a fungal infection, or they simply deny the infection exists.
This web page presents a method of eliminating the fungus from the respiratory system. The good news is that the cure is very inexpensive and you can do it all yourself. This treatment may also be effective in curing fungus-caused cancer in the lungs and bronchial tubes, but this claim has not been investigated. If lung or bronchial cancer has been diagnosed or suspected, treatment by Dr. Tullio Simoncini, Rome, Italy, is strongly recommended. As stated above, conventional medical treatments with chemotherapy, radiation or surgery have a dismal success rate. You can proceed immediately with the treatment presented here as you prepare to secure treatment by Dr. Simoncini.
Sinusitis, Swollen Nasal Passages, Congestion, Running Nose and Allergies
You may have visited your ear, nose and throat physician with horrible sinus symptoms only to suffer the added disappointment that after several months of conventional medical treatment you still have the same symptoms. Did you have painful, miserable surgery only to find no improvement whatsoever? You are not alone. What is wrong here? Your doctor may have prescribed an antibiotic, but you noticed no improvement. The doctor may have told you that you have a deviated septum (separation between the nasal openings bends to restrict one side). Of course you do. The majority of people have a deviated septum. That does not explain the congestion on both sides. Did your doctor discuss the possibility of a fungal infection with you and prescribe a treatment? Most likely not.
Sue was a typical patient. She suffered with sinus problems for years. Believing she had a bacterial sinus infections, her doctors repeatedly prescribed antibiotics with no improvement. She had sinus surgery three times which left her with worse symptoms than before the surgeries. Antibiotics and surgery do not cure a fungal infection. In fact, they make it worse.
Fungal infections of the sinuses and nasal passages are difficult to diagnose, even when the likelihood is not ignored. Most people simply dismiss their sinus problems as an allergy that they must suffer with. Allergies are not curable. The attempt is made to reduce the symptoms to a manageable level. When allergy medicine does not work and when you still have sinus congestion in the middle of the winter, a fungus should be suspected.
A fungal infection in the sinuses will most likely spread to the bronchial tubes and the lungs. All must be treated together. Simply treating the sinuses or nasal passages without treating the lungs will most likely not be successful. The protocol presented here will treat the entire respiratory system.

Treatment Protocol for Candida, Mold and Fungal Respiratory System Infections
Sodium bicarbonate kills candida albicans yeast, molds and fungi. Fortunately sodium bicarbonate is very well accepted by the body. In fact, sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is a common food additive. We consume sodium bicarbonate almost daily. It is also used as an enema agent to help cure fungal infections of the colon.
Step No. 1 - Fungus feeds on carbohydrates in the diet and glucose in the blood. Therefore, the first step is to start an anti-fungal diet as described on the following web page for treating inflammatory bowel diseases.
Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, IBD, IBS, Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis, Candida & Others.
Step No. 2 - The direct treatment of fungus in the lungs, bronchial tubes, sinuses and nasal passages is accomplished by spraying a mist of water containing sodium bicarbonate directly into the mouth as a deep breath of air is drawn in. The mist enters the bronchial tubes and is carried further into the lungs. This protocol is simple and inexpensive. The only materials necessary are a spray bottle, water and sodium bicarbonate. It is also important to take an antibiotic at the same time because the higher pH alkaline environment created in the lungs can make a bacterial infection more likely to occur. Bacteria are generally discouraged by a lower pH acidic environment. Purchase the following items.
A new empty hand-held spray bottle with at least one cup (8 oz) capacity. The nozzle must be adjustable to spray a fine mist.
A package (box) of baking soda. The ingredients must list sodium bicarbonate and nothing else.
A gallon (4 liters) of pure reverse osmosis water that has been disinfected by an ultra violet (UV) lamp. Do not use tap water even if boiled, because it contains chlorine, fluorine, minerals and other impurities. This water can be purchased at many supermarkets and/or health food stores. A home-size reverse osmosis unit with UV lamp is another excellent option. This is the same procedure used to make sterile water for hospitals. It is installed under the sink with the dispenser conveniently located above.
Step No. 3 - The anti-fungal treatment of the respiratory tract with sodium bicarbonate creates an alkaline environment that destroys the fungus, but it also creates an environment that promotes some types of bacteria. Therefore, an antibiotic is recommended to reduces the possibility that a bacterial infection could occur.
Purchase the antibacterial drug Doxycycline in 100 mg capsules. Ten (10) capsules will be needed for the five (5) day treatment protocol.
Doxycycline can be purchased online without a prescription for those people who feel qualified to perform self-treatment. Others should contact your physician.
MedsMex.com Your Online Source of Quality Discounted Medications.
Step No. 4 - Rinse the spray bottle with reverse osmosis water. Avoid using soaps or cleaners that could damage the lungs. Prepare the sodium bicarbonate spray by partially filling the spray bottle with one cup (8 oz) of reverse osmosis water that has been treated with an ultra violate (UV) lamp. Add about two (2) level teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate. Holding your fingers at the top of the bottle helps form a funnel for easier filling. This is best done over a sink where you can disregard spillage. Shake the bottle well. Move to an area such as the garage, where spray on the floor will not bother anything. Spray the bottle in the air and adjust the nozzle to form a fine mist.
Open your mouth and place the spray bottle with the nozzle near the front of your mouth. Exhale deeply followed by a full inhalation of air. Spray the bottle at the exact same time as the air is drawn in. This is similar to the procedure used by asthma sufferers using an inhaler. The immediate auto-response of the lungs will be a cough reflex as the mist contacts the fine hairs in the bronchial tubes. Try to suppress the cough reflex as much as possible. The goal is to not cough up the sodium bicarbonate solution. The bronchial tubes become less sensitive with each spray which should allow several inhalations without coughing. Repeat the inhalation procedure about five (5) times on the first day. Repeat the procedure three times a day, about 30 minutes after breakfast, lunch and dinner.
On the second and following days the number of sprays inhaled per treatment is increased to ten (10) to twelve (12) time. Repeat the procedure three times a day, about 30 minutes after breakfast, lunch and dinner. The total treatment time is five (5) days.

Step No. 5 - After inhalation of the spray mist, hold the spray bottle nozzle to one nostril while closing the other nostril with your finger. Press the spray handle once as you attempt to inhale. Repeat the procedure with the other nostril. Turn the spray bottle toward the air and press the handle several times. Wipe the nozzle tip with a paper towel. The sinuses and nasal passages are more sensitive to the sodium bicarbonate solution than the throat, bronchial tubes or lungs. Therefore, the nasal passages may sting slightly causing the nose to run. Blow the nose lightly as required, but the goal is to not blow out all of the sodium bicarbonate solution.
Swallowing the sodium bicarbonate solution is perfectly safe and desirable as it help kill fungi in the throat, esophogus and stomach. Dr. Tullio Simoncini uses this same solution as a drink for the treatment for stomach cancer.
Discard the remaining contents of the spray bottle. Pump the spray handle until it is empty and place both in the refrigerator in an unassembled manner.
Step No. 6 - Take one (1) Doxycycline 100 mg capsule twice a day. One with breakfast and one with dinner. Do not skip this step.
Stop the procedure after five days. Do not continue using the sodium bicarbonate spray or the Doxycycline beyond the five day period.
Step No. 7 - Purchase and begin take probiotics before the antibiotics are started. Do not skip this step. These are live cultures of bacteria that are desirable in the digestive tract. The antibiotic will kill these good bacteria in the digestive system. Therefore, they are continually being replaced with each meal. Purchase the following, and take one or two each with each meal three times a day. Beneficial probiotics also discourage the growth of fungi and pathogenic bacteria. These probiotics are strongly recommended to be taken on a continual basis, even after discontinuation of this treatment.

Lactobacillus Sporogenes probiotic by Thorne Research. Refrigerate after opening.
Step No. 8 - The one-time spray procedure can be done on a follow-up basis once every week without the need to take the antibiotic, but it should not be done on a continuous basis.
Step No. 9 - The full five (5) day procedure can be done on an annual basis as desired if symptoms persist.
