Romans 11:26-32

"And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:"

Controversy has arisen over the meaning and interpretation of Romans 11:26-32. The following is the only meaning that does not violate the interpretation of other Scriptures.

Romans 11:26-32

26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; 27 For this [is] My covenant with them, When I take away their sins." 28 Concerning the gospel [they] [are] enemies for your sake, but concerning the election [they] [are] beloved for the sake of the fathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God [are] irrevocable. 30 For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, 31 even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.

Theological Seminaries Are Centers for Higher Brainwashing.

Many false Bible teachers and preachers state that in the last days all Jews in Israel will be saved. They falsely teach that Jesus will reign over the Jews in Israel for a thousand years during the Millennium. They falsely teach that God will save the Jews from annihilation during the Battle of Armageddon after which the Jews will reign in Heaven with Jesus for Eternity. These false teachers often use verses from the Old Testament that promise all Israel (Jews) will be gathered from the ends of the Earth to reign with Jesus in Eternity. These doctrines are absolutely false because the violate many Scriptural verses that correctly teach otherwise. Those who falsely teach that all Jews will be saved are certainly ignoring the curse that Jesus placed upon the Jews. God has never rescinded that curse.

Jesus told the Jews, " Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do." John 8:44

Analysis of Romans 11:26-32

We should concentrate on several words in these verses in Romans 11:26-32.

"Deliverer" - This most certainly means the Lord Jesus Christ. There is little disagreement there.

"Take away their sins" - Yes, Jesus death upon the cross took away all of the sins of all mankind including those of the Jews in Israel.

Are the Sins of All Mankind Forgiven?
Universal Reconciliation is True, but
Universal Salvation is False.

"Concerning the gospel they are enemies" - Yes, the apostle Paul and the other apostles certainly declared that the Jews were enemies of the gospel of salvation by grace through faith in the resurrection of Jesus. The Jews were enemies of Jesus and insisted that Roman try Him for blasphemy and put Him to death. The Romans did as the Jews demanded. The Jews were enemies of Jesus' disciples and followers before and after His death. The Apostles often wrote warning in "fear of the Jews." Jews continue to hate Jesus Christ and Christians to this very day.

Jews Hate Jesus Christ and Christians
Jews Hate America

John 7:13 However, no one spoke openly of Him for fear of the Jews.

John 19:38 After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave [him] permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus.

John 20:19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first [day] of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace [be] with you."

"For your sake" - The Apostle Paul clearly taught that because of the blindness of the Jews to the gospel, God turned to the Gentiles with the gospel of grace through faith in the Resurrection. The Gentiles and all of mankind have benefited as a result of the rejection of Jesus by the Jews. However, this is God's insult to the Jews, not a compliment.

"Concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers" - The gentiles who are the elect and beloved of God because of the righteous men of old, the fathers. Neither "election" nor "elect" are ever used in reference to the Jews or Israel who are the "chosen" of the Old Testament. Election always applies to the Gentiles in the New Testament.

"For the gifts and the calling of God [are] irrevocable" - This follows the Apostle Paul's discussion of the "election" of the Gentiles; and therefore, it is not in reference to the Jews or Israel as many false teachers claim. This means that the calling of the Gentiles to the gospel of grace and the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to the Gentiles will never be reversed. "Gifts" were never provided by the Holy Spirit upon the Jews or Israel.

"For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience" - Here again this means that the Gentiles who were once unbelievers have obtain mercy through the gospel of grace because the Jews disobedience in the rejected Jesus.

"Through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy" - Although the Jews have rejected Jesus they can still believe in Jesus because of God's mercy. Salvation is available to all mankind by believing the gospel in Romans 10:9.

Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

"For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all" - Both Gentile and Jew has been disobedient but can be saved in the same way by believing the gospel of grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

The Apostle John in the Book of Revelation refers to Jerusalem as "Babylon." This is a very insulting nickname. John also calls Jerusalem the "Great City" that differs it from other cities in Israel so no misunderstanding could be interpreted. John also calls Jerusalem the "Harlot" that cannot be interpreted as anything but the most insulting of nicknames. Revelation is End Times prophesy and John's insulting titles for Jerusalem are certainly the opposite to those of false teachers who insist that "all Israel will be saved" in the End Times. Sound doctrine should always be supported by two or three witnesses (verses).

"Replacement Theology" is false. The Church in the Dispensation of Grace in which we live has not and will not replace Israel. The promises and curses God gave to the Jews and Israel in the Old Testament will never be applied to the Church. Promises in the Old Testament are always assumed to be in combination with obedience and faithfulness even when not specifically stated. Don't believe such nonsense even though it may be widely taught. God never give blessings to evil people.

The Jews in the "End Times" do not bypass Jesus and go straight into Eternity with Jesus as many dispensationalists, Pope Francis, and other false teachers claim. Roman Catholic Pope Francis stated in 2015 that Jews can go to Heaven without believing in Jesus. The Vatican reaffirmed the Pope's statement that Jews can go to Heaven because so many questioned the Pope's statement. Christians absolutely refute the Pope's statement as blasphemy because it renders Jesus death as totally unnecessary. The following web page teaches dispensational theology correctly.

Does Israel Have a Right to Exist? Absolutely NOT.

Paraphrasing Romans 11:26-32

We can paraphrase Romans 11:26-32 in our modern day language something like this:

Jesus was born of the Jews that all of them might become saved, but the Jews were disobedient. They did not keep the Law, and they put Jesus to death. Jesus died on the cross as a propitiation for their sins and the sins of the whole world. But the Jews rejected Jesus and God's mercy. They have not been saved and are destined to spend Eternity in Hell. So God turned to the Gentiles with another gospel - the gospel of grace by faith. Even so, the Jew in the same way as the Gentile may obtain God's mercy through the new gospel of grace.
