These myths, hoaxes, and frauds are called media myths because they could not perpetuate without the support of the media; however, the media did not start these myths and hoaxes. People start a myth or a hoax for monetary gain, fame, or simply the personal pleasure of seeing so many people make fools of themselves by believing it. The media always seem to fail the test when presented with a fraudulent scare headline that will generate sales. They follow up years later with documentaries suggesting the hoax may actually be true even though no proof exists. They parade people before the camera who claim to have been eye witnesses, with little or no rebuttal. The propagators of myths and hoaxes generally do so for monetary gain from selling fake pictures, books, and tapes. The losers are those who believe this nonsense and spend money to hear more about it.

Television science show producers such as National Geographic, Discover Channel, History Channel, and Nova, perpetuate the myth of alien life in their television programs. Author astronomer, Dr. Carl Sagan, promoted and participated in science programs searching for life on other planets to no avail. The viewer and school children are left with the impression that life on other planets is a given fact. They say that we simply need to keep looking in order to find them. Scientists who don't believe there is life on other planets or alien visitors to Earth are not given a voice to refute these make-believe fantasies.

One very effective marketing method is the personal testimony. We see this tactic used every day in advertising because it works. Buyers fall for the scam more readily when personal testimonies are presented even though the statements can easily be shown to be false. Humans are prolific liars, and many listeners cannot discern truth from lies. History has shown that highly-credentialed people can be liars. Many prolific liars have been in high political office and in high religious positions. The number of witnesses adds nothing. Truth is not a popularity contest. Having lots of personal testimonies means nothing when judging the truth. Law enforcement officers have found that eye witnesses are not reliable sources for facts.

The reasons people believe in UFOs and aliens go back to the school educational system. Kids are taught that life can evolve given enough time. This is a false statement without any scientific support. They are taught that a monkey at a typewriter could punch keys at random and would type President Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address if given enough time. This is nonsense. Time does not make impossible things possible. The educational system on the university level in all English-speaking countries crosses over into the realm of brainwashing. Many generations have lived and died having been brainwashed into believing that extraterrestrial life forms evolved and exist somewhere. They searched in vain for life elsewhere in the universe and cosmos. They researched in vain trying to prove the evolutionary theory. They get a Ph. D., become a professor and teach the next generation the same unproven and impossible ideas. The brainwashed individual rarely understands his own condition. That's why they call it brainwashing,  and no means exist for his deprogramming.

Universities are Turning America into a Nation of Idiots, Fat, Drunk, and Stupid.

A good example of "politically correctness" and brainwashing is the Wikipedia - The Free Encyclopedia. Wikipedia prides itself in allowing visitors to revise the web page in most cases. However, they do not allow a reference and link to this website because we refute UFOs, Aliens, Bigfoot, Loch Ness, Roswell, Area 51, Crop Circles, Antigravity, Bermuda Triangle, evolution, Big Bang Theory, and Red Shift Light Theory. This is a good example of the media perpetuating myths.

There are 100 billion galaxies in the cosmos with possibly 100 billion stars each, as with our Milky Way galaxy. Many stars probably have planets in orbit around them. Kids are taught that aliens are surely out there because of the number of planets on which intelligent life could evolve. This logic is wrong. Life elsewhere in the cosmos has never been detected and never will be. Those who believe the nonsense about evolution, UFOs, aliens, bigfoot apes, crop circles, and the like can continue to live in a fantasy world. They can stay deceived or join reality. That is up to them.

These topics have also become a hook for scientists to snag more money from governments in order to study endless impossible alien and evolutionary topics. The funding has become nothing more than Ph.D. welfare. The media jumps on these topics because they sell more newspapers and increase the number of television viewers.

Engineering sciences are much different from biology, cosmology, and astronomy. Mechanical, civil, structural, aeronautical, and electrical engineers apply proven and repeatable scientific laws, not pie-in-the-sky theories. Standards are developed for all engineers to follow in the design and creation of the wonderful world around us. The French made Airbus A300-600 is one exception. It was designed with a self-destruct tail rudder control system. Flight 587 plunged into a Queens, New York, neighborhood on Nov. 12, 2001, killing all on board and five people on the ground. The pilot gave a rudder input to change or correct the course. The rudder hydraulic power system on the Airbus is stronger than the vertical stabilizer on which the rudder is mounted. The stabilizer simply broke off and the plane crashed. Maybe they thought it would evolve stronger bolts given enough stress cycles? Flying on the French Airbus is not recommended. Check the name of the plane's manufacturer before securing your ticket.

Media myths become a blur between who is the duper and the duped. Media writers, UFO witnesses, and Bigfoot witnesses begin with the idea of duping other people into believing their nonsense, but they get so wrapped up in their lies that they begin to believe it themselves. They essentially brainwash themselves. This is often shown by a person who confesses to a crime that the police know for a fact had never occurred. These people can even pass lie detector tests. This is the reason lie detectors are not legal in court. The testimony of witnesses to UFO and Bigfoot sightings are worthless because these people are nothing more than proficient liars.

Media Myth No. 1 - Unidentified Flying Objects From Outer Space (UFOs)

Spaceships piloted by aliens have never visited the Earth from another interstellar or intergalactic world. There has never been a real alien UFO, and there will never be one. Alien UFOs do not exist even though 60% of the public believes in UFOs. Millions claim to have seen an alien space craft, and numerous people have testified about being taken aboard the spacecraft for a medical examination, but all of these testimonies are false for one reason or another. This amateur photograph of an alleged UFO was taken in Passoria, New Jersey on July 31, 1952. Click on the image to see an enlargement. It is a very convincing fake, but like all the others, it is a fake.

The lights over Phoenix on March 13, 1997, were another example exploited by the media. As soon as the story appeared on television, people were coming out of the woodwork with wild stories to top the previous one. These liars all wanted to see themselves on television. ABC News ran the stories again in February 2005, even though Luke AFB Public Affairs Office had stated years earlier that Air Force personnel had investigated the so-called "UFOs" and had solved the case. The lights were simply high-intensity flares that members of the Maryland Air National Guard had dropped from A-10 "Warthog" jet fighters during a special training exercise called Operation Snowbird. The exercise was over the Barry Goldwater Gunnery Range at Luke Air Force Base located 70 miles (112 km) southwest of Phoenix. They explained that the A-10s had released the flares at about 6,000 feet (1829 m). The flares could be seen from a distance of 150 miles (240 km). The Air Force employs the flare system on aircraft to divert ground-to-air heat-seeking enemy missiles. This is commonly being done in the Iraq war.

UFO witnesses commonly report the UFO made an instantaneous right angle turn. Other reports claim the UFO was traveling at an extremely high rate of speed before coming to an instantaneous stop. Other reports claim the UFO made an instantaneous acceleration from zero to a very high rate of speed. Radar images have shown a UFO traveling at 9000 miles per hour suddenly coming to an instantaneous stop. These reports don't prove that UFOs exist. They are actually proof that the UFO is not a material object. The UFO has no mass. The UFO is not a physical object. The UFO is simply an electronic field, light field, light reflection, or some other perfectly logical earthly phenomena. They are simply light reflections or radar glitches. Don't worry. UFOs cannot touch you or hurt you because they are not really there.

Ufologists, a fancy name the UFO fanatics give themselves, try to get around the fact that UFO witnesses make statements that violate proven scientific fact by claiming extraterrestrial life has developed advanced technologies achieving warp speed (multiples of the speed of light) and worm holes (short-cuts through space). These Ufologists have been watching too many sci-fi TV programs. Warp speed and space worm holes are not possible. This is why they call these TV programs science fiction. If you believe this childish nonsense, you need to grow up and face reality.

There is no real evidence supporting the existence of alien spacecraft -- absolutely none. The scientific facts against the existence of alien UFOs are overwhelming. The lights and objects people see and photograph are never physical alien spacecrafts with some sort of life form inside. The lights can be from real Earth airplanes, satellites, asteroids, ball lightning, or electro-magnetic fields normally found in the Earth's atmosphere. They can be reflections of ground lights, light shows, or laser shows lighting up the clouds, etc. Images seen from the inside of an airplane are most likely natural light reflections from the airplane itself. Photographs can give false images caused by reflections inside the camera lens from light leakage. New digital cameras are known for showing things that simply are not there. The testimonies of people claiming to have seen an alien spacecraft are simply mistaken. Their testimony is based on their false imagination, deception, or lies.

UFO study finds no sign of aliens - May 7, 2006. 

"A confidential Ministry of Defense report on Unidentified Flying Objects has concluded that there is no proof of alien life forms."

"In spite of the secrecy surrounding the UFO study, it seems citizens of planet Earth have little to worry about. The report, which was completed in 2000 and stamped "Secret: UK Eyes Only," has been made public for the first time. Only a small number of copies were produced, and the identity of the man who wrote it has been protected. His findings were only made public thanks to the Freedom of Information Act after a request by Sheffield Hallam University academic Dr. David Clarke."

"The four-year study - entitled Unidentified Aerial Phenomena in the UK - tackles the long-running question by UFO-spotters: "Is anyone out there?" The answer, it seems, is "no." The 400-page report puts it like this: "No evidence exists to suggest that the phenomena seen are hostile or under any type of control, other than that of natural physical forces." It adds: "There is no evidence that 'solid' objects exist which could cause a collision hazard." So if there are no such things as little green men in spaceships or flying saucers, why have so many people reported seeing them?"

The US government has stopped providing funds to the SETI Institute in their "Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence." SETI continues as a private organization to search for intelligent life forms beyond Earth even though their success rate is zero. The organization has been a total failure. No extraterrestrial intelligence has ever been found. None. 

BETA, for the Billion-channel Extraterrestrial Assay, was another SETI type project. The search was performed using the Harvard-Smithsonian radio telescope outside of Boston. Incoming radio waves were fed into a super computer for analysis. An 84-foot steerable radio telescope funded by The Planetary Society was being used in Harvard, Massachusetts, in the search for radio signals sent by extraterrestrial intelligence. This successor to Project META (Million-channel Extraterrestrial Assay) began searching on October 30, 1995. The telescope was badly damaged in a windstorm during the week of March 22, 1999. Some of the major scientific reasons that alien UFOs have never existed and never will exist are:

Absence of Life - There is no proven life of any kind outside of the Earth. No life has been found on any planet in our solar system with one exception. NASA has certainly contaminated Mars with Earth microbes. Scientists have spent billions of dollars expecting to detect intelligent signals from one of the 200 billions of solar systems in our Milky Way Galaxy or from one of the 100 billion other galaxies, only to be disappointed. No intelligent signals exist. Nobody is out there. We are alone.

Distance - The distances in space are too big for us to comprehend. The distance to our nearest stellar neighbor, Proxima Centauri, is 4.3 light-years or 40 million million kilometers. A light-year equals 5.88 million million miles (9.46 million million kilometers). The Andromeda Galaxy located at a distance of two million light years away is the nearest major galaxy and is of comparable size to our own galaxy. Even if a spacecraft could reach the speed of light, which it could not, the trip from Andromeda Galaxy would take two million years. Many things are obviously impossible and this is one of them.

Spacecraft Design Limitations - A spacecraft of the size and description given by UFO witnesses certainly could never have traveled from Earth's nearest stellar neighbor. The propulsion system would literally fry everything nearby with radiation, X-rays, etc. The typical testimony of watching a spacecraft hovering over the house or car is absolutely silly.

Stellar Obstacles - Empty space in the universe is not really empty. Ninety percent of the matter in the universe is said to be invisible because it does not give off light or X-rays. Hitting a small amount of interstellar dust while traveling at half the speed of light would destroy the craft.

No Radio Signals - Scientists were hopeful of finding radio or X-ray transmissions from intelligent life forms when the first large telescopes were built. Some people had concerns that we might upset our neighbors, but those concerns have all been forgotten. There are no intelligent signals of any kind anywhere in the universe. There are no intelligent signals coming from any of the 100 billion galaxies. We are simply alone.

No Crashed Spacecrafts Debris - The claims of some that they have seen the remains of a spacecraft at a crash site are pure nonsense. These people should check themselves into a mental health facility.

Tycoon funds hunt for alien life - BBC News - March 22, 2004.

"Paul Allen, the co-founder of software titan Microsoft, is ploughing a slice of his fortune into the search for life on other planets. Mr Allen is donating $13.5m to the California-based Seti Institute. The money will be used to create a radio telescope array comprising more than 200 dishes which will measure signals from space."

Our Milky Way Galaxy has "billions of Earths" - BBC News - February 15, 2009.

"There could be one hundred billion Earth-like planets in our galaxy, a US conference has heard."

This means that Earth scientists have not been able to detect any signs of life, radio signals, light signals, radar signals, or X-ray signals from any of the one hundred billion Earth-like planets in our Milky Way Galaxy. It truly appears we are totally alone. The scientific evidence is absolutely overwhelming. These odds prove the Evolutionary Theory of Charles Darwin is false.

Media Myth No. 2 - Bigfoot and the Abominable Snowman

People on every continent claim to have seen the footprints of a large man like the mythological creature we call Bigfoot. In British Columbia, Canada, he is called Sasquatch; in the Himalayas of Asia he is called Yeti or the Abominable Snowman. The Amazon people call him Mapingauri. These myths gained little media attention until Roger Patterson took 24 feet of 16mm color film of a Bigfoot walking in the forest on October 20, 1967, near California's Bluff Creek Valley just north of Willow Creek. Roger had become fascinated with Bigfoot after reading a press report earlier in the year. His friend Bob Gimlin was with him. The 24 feet of movie film were a big hit with the media. There have been many reports of large footprints and sightings of a large manlike, hairy creature near Mount Everest in the Himalayas. Footprints were seen by Sir Edmund Hillary and his crew during his historic climb in 1953.

These reports draw lots of media attention but lack any substance. Many facts reveal that these reports are hoaxes and jokes perpetrated for fun, money, and fame.

Bigfoot Confession - "In 2004, Greg Long claimed that the Bigfoot in the Patterson film is indeed a man in a gorilla suit, but the man is Bob Heironimus, a retired Pepsi bottler from Yakima, Washington, and the suit was made in North Carolina for Patterson by a man named Philip Morris." The Skeptics Dictionary. Bob Gimlin has also confessed that the Bigfoot movie was a fake. The media still keep running the Patterson movie over and over and present the documentary as if the story were true. They never give up even when true confessions about the hoax are presented.

Abominable Snowman Confession - Sir Edmund Hillary was asked about the giant footprints during the 50th anniversary celebration of his historic ascent of Mount Everest. In reference to someone else on the expedition Hillary laughed as he stated, "Oh, he could do something like that." Hillary was politely acknowledging that the tracks were a hoax. Yet the media keeps talking about the Abominable Snowman as if such a creature really exists.

Impossible Subsistence - An ape creature as described could not survive in the Himalayas. There is very little vegetation consisting only of sparse grasses. Therefore, the creature would have to be a carnivore, but he couldn't survive as a carnivore. The creature could not run fast enough to catch a mountain sheep or a snow leopard, and no other food source is available.

Propagation Limitations - The Bigfoot creatures could not survive anyplace on Earth in such small numbers. A mating pair could only reproduce one offspring per year. The survival rate for the infants would be very small. A community of creatures would simply become extinct. Scientists have discovered this fact with real species once they cross over a threshold of few numbers.

No Bodies and No Bones - The backwoods of North America swarms with hikers, loggers, and hunters that should have discovered dwelling sites, bones, and bodies if Bigfoot were real, but he is not. These reported sightings are all hoaxes for fun, money, and fame.

Cameras in space satellites orbiting the Earth can take pictures with enough detail to read the license number on a car, but they cannot find the abominable snowman in the Himalayas trudging around in the snow. They can't find tracks either because the abominable snowman does not exist and never did.

Media Myth No. 3a - Loch Ness Monster, "Nessie"

People talked of the Loch Ness Monster for centuries as a myth or legend, but in 1934 Dr. Robert Kenneth Wilson, a London physician, allegedly photographed a plesiosaur-like creature with a long neck and small head above the water of Loch Ness, a lake in Scotland. The locals don't mind the notoriety of their community. The attraction is great for business.

Nessie is certainly a fabrication and a hoax. Dr. Wilson could have easily produced his film in the absence of any monster. Perhaps the neck is simply the trunk of a tree that had fallen into the water and was drifting in the lake. A tree with the stump attached will commonly float vertically in the water because the stump and roots have a higher density and sink first. The roots could have easily had rocks trapped among them so that the tree floated in a vertical position. The entire hoax could have easily been fabricated in the same manner, including the carving of the head.

The most probable method used to fake the Loch Ness Monster picture was with a toy size carving. The waves surrounding the creature are not in the correct proportion for a large monster. Small waves are affected more by the surface tension of the water than large waves. The surface tension effect is clearly seen in this photograph. Therefore, the waves are very small, and the photograph was taken within 3 feet (1 meter) of the subject. A cute little toy, isn't it? A living Nessie never really existed. The locals continue to enjoy the lake with little grins on their faces while visitors spend their money.

Media Myth No. 3b - Lake Champlain "Champ" Monster

Lake Champlain is on the border between Vermont and New York, running north and south from Canada to Whitehall, New York. It is America's version of Loch Ness. The only photograph that has not been proven to be a fake was taken by a woman named Sandra Mansi in 1977. Unfortunately, the negative was lost and only one small 3" x 5" print remains. Many people have jumped on the Champ myth in order to make a little money. The businesses in the towns near the lake broadcast the myth in order to promote tourism. They sell books, videos, Champ toys, etc. They put up Champ signs and replica statues of the monster. The New York State Assembly and the Vermont Legislature have also jumped into the act. They both passed laws protecting Champ. Politicians always jump on a lie in order to bring a little more money into their state. They could have been more creative in their thinking by offering a one million dollar reward for Champ dead or alive. This would have brought in more tourism than the protection scheme and would not have been propagating a lie.

Most of the people who live around Lake Champlain claim to have seen Champ over the years. These many reports do not prove Champ is a living lake monster. They do confirm that most people are liars.

The object in the photograph is most likely that of a Bufflehead or Merganser diving duck. Click on the photograph to see an enlargement. This overhead photograph shows a Bufflehead diving duck emerging from a dive. They often make a wake as they approach the surface. The duck may take a breath of air and dive again if startled. This action duplicates the description given in many Champ sightings. These ducks swim with most of the body submerged exactly like the object shown in the photograph taken by Sandra Mansi in 1977. The duck in her picture simply has its head turned away from the camera with a light reflecting off the white feathers on the back of the head. Other species have white on the back of the neck.

A measurement of the waves proves that the object was small like a duck and very close to the shore. It was not large and far out in the lake as the myth purveyors suggest. Certain light conditions and reflections can create an image that makes the imagination run wild in those people who are thinking about the monster instead of thinking about a common diving duck. A telephoto lens could have been used to make the distances in the image very unrealistic.

The object in the "monster" picture could have also been a water-logged log that floats nearly submerged, or it may have been an object specifically created to propagate the hoax. In any case, it was not sea monster or lake monster.

 Media Myth No. 4 - Crop Circles of England

The crop circles first appeared in England. They are areas in a field of corn or wheat that is flattened in an artistic fashion. Usually the pattern contains circles of various sizes. People began to credit spacecraft aliens for the creation of these patterns. The media just loved this one. They still show newly created crop circles and leave the viewer with the notion that they could have been produced by aliens.

Claims are made that the area of the flattened crop gives off an electromagnetic radiation that is unnatural. The claim is made that this same radiation has been detected at the location of UFO sightings. The area is damaged to the extent that the pattern shows even after several plowings. Others claim the crops show evidence of strange mutations in the downed plants.

All of the weird claims made about crop circles are untrue. The circles are exactly the same as circles made by people using a rope to control the radius and a board to flatten the crop. The wild claims made that connect crop circles with UFOs are simply lies.

People who continue the serious study of crop circles refer to themselves as cerealogists (after Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture and fertility). Others use a simple slang term, "croppies."

Doug Bower and David Chorley were farmers who, in 1991, confessed to making approximately 250 of the patterns, but this hasn't stopped people from believing they came from aliens. This stuff is nutty, folks.

Media Myth No. 5 - Piltdown Man of England

The Piltdown Man has been proven to be a fake and a hoax. The bone fragments, flint tools, and the bone implements were found at two other sites. The skull parts that turned out to be those of a modern man were found at one site. The jaw was from an ape skeleton found at a nearby site. Charles Dawson found the first cranial fragments of the Piltdown Man at the fossil dig site in 1908. He was only an amateur archaeologist. The fragments were given to the British Museum of Natural History where the skull was assembled. The finding was announced to the public. The media were elated at the find. This was the "missing link" of evolution that was so desperately needed to support the Theory of Evolution. Significant support was also given because the missing link was found in England.

Piltdown Man was displayed at the British Museum of Natural History. The British paleoanthropology community readily accepted the ideas that the fossil remains were that of a humanoid linking modern man to the apes. Very little, if any, critical analysis was given the findings until many years later.

In 1953, Piltdown Man was declared a hoax. The skull fragments, upon close examination, were obviously those of a modern man. The fragments were carved and stained. The teeth in the ape jaw had been filed down to more closely match the teeth of a man. Everyone had been duped and the search was on for the perpetrator, but none could be solidly proven. Perhaps two or more people collaborated in the scheme. Multiple witnesses and testimonies led others to be less suspecting and more easily duped. People simply tend to drop their guard and go with the prevailing opinion. The prime suspects in the Piltdown Man hoax are:

Martin A. C. Hilton is the prime suspect. He was the curator of zoology at the British Museum at the time. Years later a trunk with Hilton's initials was found in the attic of the museum. Inside were bone fragments that had been carved and stained in the very same manner as those used to create Piltdown Man.

Arthur Smith Woodward was Keeper of Geology at the British Museum. He could have been attracted by the possibility of attention the finding would draw.

Charles Dawson was most likely selected as the fall guy by the perpetrators for many good reasons. He was only an amateur who could have easily been duped by the fossils planted at the sites. He became highly motivated after finding the first cranial piece.

Grafton Elliot Smith authored a paper on the discovery in 1913. His motives are simply not strong enough to list him a prime suspect.

W. J. Solass was a professor of geology at Oxford University. He may have conspired with the hoax leader.

Arthur Conan Doyle was the creator of Sherlock Holmes and could have pulled the stunt to test the investigatory expertise of scientists at the British Museum. They certainly failed the test. Doyle was most likely not involved. Otherwise the cranial fragments would have had much better preparation.

Tielhard de Chardin was a theologian and scientist who accompanied Dawson to the dig sites. Chardin is less likely to have been the perpetrator because he probably did not support the theory of evolution.

This was an inside job by staff members of the British Museum. Martin A. C. Hilton was the ring leader, and he prepared the fake specimens. Arthur Smith Woodward was most likely his accomplice. The museum staff had ready access to source materials, controlled the "discovered" artifacts, prepared Piltdown Man for display, limited the access by outsiders and prevented a close examination. Charles Dawson was the fall guy who would be given the blame if the hoax ever came to light.

The media are always accomplices in these frauds and hoaxes. They continue to protect the British Museum and use Dawson as the scapegoat. The media simply cannot resist the chance to run a headline story that will sell lots of papers or gain lots of television viewers. They also tend to strongly support the false Theory of Evolution. Now the Internet is jumping on the bandwagon with thousands of websites promoting all kinds of frauds and hoaxes for monetary gain.

Media Myth No. 6 - Dead Alien at Roswell, New Mexico

Mac Brazel worked as a foreman on the J. B. Foster Ranch near Roswell, New Mexico, when he discovered a strange object on the ranch in July, 1947. The object had crashed on the hillside. The debris included sheet foil material and a round dish-shaped object. Personnel from the Roswell Army Air Field, later renamed Walker Air Force Base, had been looking for their test vehicle. They knew it had landed in the vicinity of the Foster Ranch. Army personnel went to the ranch where Brazel showed them the crash site. Brazel had been taking material from the crash site and storing it at the ranch. He had shown pieces around town and given some pieces to friends as souvenirs. He was not very cooperative with the Army personnel, so they took him to the base where he was detained for three days. The Army got most of the parts back from the crashed experimental package and released Brazel. This photograph is claimed to have been taken at the crash site, but it is most likely a fake. No official photographs are known to exist.

The wreckage was certainly not that of an extraterrestrial spacecraft. A real spacecraft would have had some sort of nuclear power reactor, and the radiation at the crash site would have killed everyone who approached. The Army personnel weren't concerned because they knew precisely how their experiment was made. It was harmless and had a small battery power source for the instruments.

Speculation about the vehicle was headline news in the media. Rumors began circulating that the craft was from outer space and contained the dead body of an alien. The media frenzy attracted many wild stories. Suddenly everyone was a witness to the crash of a flying saucer. Over the years the myth grew and grew until people began claiming a dead alien was taken from the crash site to the base. New stories have expanded to claim that Brazel found three dead aliens at the site and showed the bodies to friends.

All of this talk about a flying saucer crashing at Roswell is pure nonsense. The Roswell Army Air Field was used for tests related to the Army's military projects. They were testing instruments to measure the atmosphere, weather balloons, airplane components, and weapon systems. The military confirmed that the object was a weather balloon with a radar reflector that the military used to keep a radar lock on the experimental package as it returned to Earth.

Media Myth No. 7 - Alien Hideout at Area 51

Area 51 is a highly restricted area near Groom Dry Lake and Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. Ufologists, a fancy name the UFO fanatics give to themselves, simply go ballistic over the secrecy at this military base. They are especially annoyed at the signs along the fence warning that deadly force will be used against anyone crossing the fence. As a security measure, snoopy people are forced to keep moving along the dirt road near the base. The road, Route 375, has been nicknamed the Extraterrestrial Highway by Ufologists. The Ufologists claim alien spacecraft have been seen arriving and leaving the very long airstrip on Groom Dry Lake. Claims are also made that the aliens are working alongside of US military personnel. Other claims are made that military personnel are trying to duplicate flying saucer technologies by reverse engineering the equipment found in captured UFOs. This stuff is far out.

The media like to raise speculation about what is going on at Area 51 by showing documentary UFO programs. The implication by the media is that the operations at Area 51 are not simply normal military operations.

Books and videos are sold to dupe Ufologists into believing that many pictures of UFOs show real alien spacecraft. They also claim that aliens are living in our society disguised as humans. They give hints for detecting extraterrestrial life among us that are disguised as neighbors, friends, and relatives. The Ufologists have a difficult time separating fact from fiction and myths. The movie Men-In-Black is just a movie, folks. It is fiction. It is make-believe entertainment. There are no Men-In-Black government agents who keep the alien population under control.

The fact is there are no aliens at Area 51 or anywhere else on Earth or in the universe. Area 51 is used to conduct the most top secret flight test operations for the US military. This site was used to test many aircraft before they were revealed to the public. These include the U-2 spy plane, SR-71 spy plane, F-117 stealth fighter, and the B-2 stealth bomber. Other configurations were probably tested as well, but we don't know about them because they were never placed into production. Evidentially they never performed to expectation and the program was scrapped. Some of the airplanes in these canceled programs were saucer shaped.

Media Myth No. 8 - Antigravity UFOs and Government Aircraft

Ufologists quickly realized that UFO propulsion systems based on earthly technologies were not compatible with the stories and pictures being presented. A UFO shown hovering over a house could not have had a jet propulsion system; otherwise the house would be blown to bits and explode in flames. The propulsion system could not have been nuclear; otherwise the occupants of the house and car would be fried with radiation. Click on the image to see an enlargement.

Many people have described their experiences with UFOs as having been directly under the spacecraft and "beamed" aboard for a joy ride into space and back again. Notice the disturbance in the air below the UFO in the picture. It is apparently preparing to beam someone aboard from inside the house. This can only be done if the spacecraft has a propulsion system and internal environment that does not harm humans who are very close to the machine. The antigravity concept was universally accepted by Ufologists as the propulsion system used by UFOs.

Ufologists say that engineers are working on antigravity flying saucers at Area 51 by using reverse engineering techniques on captured UFOs. Reverse engineering is simply dissecting the propulsion system on the alien craft to learn what each component does. Other Ufologists claim in their books and videos that the US government has already developed antigravity military spacecraft fighters that use laser weapon technologies. The fighters are said to be stationed on the far side of the Moon where they cannot be seen from Earth. The plan is to take over the world with a one-world government system controlled by the United States. Actually this sounds like a great idea except it is all nonsense.

Antigravity implies that the craft can hover near the ground and fly into space and beyond. A magnetic field technology as presently used on high speed trains is not considered to be antigravity. A helicopter is not an antigravity machine. A satellite in orbit is not an example of the antigravity concept.

The antigravity alien spacecraft never existed and never will exist. The photographs like the one above are fakes. The personal testimonies are all lies. An antigravity machine will never be built. Any money spent on antigravity research is totally wasted. The technology is impossible. It violates many of the basic laws of science as observed throughout the universe. Gravity is everywhere. It cannot be canceled. It cannot be nullified. Don't be duped by this nonsense.

The History Channel television network continues to brainwash children with programs sponsored by paid advertisers. The programs promote the foundational claim made by ufologists that the United States government, military, and NASA continue to cover up the facts surrounding actual sightings and capture of alien spacecraft. They accuse the Richard Nixon administration of a massive cover-up of UFOs, even though the Richard Nixon administration couldn't even cover up a little break-in of the offices of the Democrats. President Jimmy Carter was so unstable that he claimed to have seen a UFO himself. Carter tried to disclose the concealed information but found none. President Ronald Reagan also claimed to have personally seen two UFOs, but none of the other people aboard the same airplane have come forward to support the claim. Even in the most powerful office in the world, President Regan could not produce one fact that alien UFOs ever existed. Presidents Carter and Regan wanted desperately to prove that UFOs existed, but they could not.

Media Myth No. 9 - Bermuda Triangle and UFOs

The Bermuda Triangle is a section of ocean formed by drawing lines between Miami, Florida, Bermuda Island, and Puerto Rico. The area is famous because of the loss of military Flight 19 on December 5, 1945. Five planes simply vanished without a trace. Click on the image to see an enlargement.

The location is also known for its many shipwrecks. This is a great area to search for the sunken wreckage of an old world vessel that was known for carrying large quantities of gold and other precious cargos.

It is true that many aircraft and ships have vanished in the area. Many speculate that the losses were not caused by natural phenomena. UFOs are claimed to have been responsible for many of the losses. One such story tells of the US nuclear aircraft carrier, USS John F. Kennedy, being stopped in the triangle by a UFO in 1971. The spacecraft is said to have blocked all communication on the aircraft carrier as it hovered overhead.

"During this time you cannot tell where the sea and sky meet. This is the time of evening it was. As we looked up, we saw a large, glowing sphere. Well it seemed large, however, there was no point of reference. That is to say, if the sphere were low; say 100 feet above the ship, then it would have been about two to three hundred feet in diameter. If it were say 500 feet about the ship then it would have been larger. It made no sound that I could hear. The light coming from it wasn't too bright, about half of what the sun would be. It sort of pulsated a little and was yellow to orange.

We didn't get to looked at it for more than about 20 seconds because General Quarters (Battle stations) was sounding and the Communication Officer was in the passageway telling us to get back into the Comm Center."

Notice to all military personnel. If this ever happens again, BLOW THE UFO AWAY. Don't be so cowardly.

This is all very interesting. But seriously, would you say, "Yes, sir," upon being asked to go back below the deck while you were viewing an alien spacecraft hovering overhead? Certainly not. If such an event were true, it would be the one time that all orders would certainly be disobeyed. We are led to believe that 4,999 other personnel on the ship obeyed orders to keep the UFO incident secret, but this guy spilled his guts. This personal testimony is pure nonsense and a great example why personal testimonies are worthless.

The Bermuda Triangle does have a high number of airplane and ship accidents. The area has a lot of traffic. The relatively calm climate, warm weather, and beautiful beaches lead people to the area. This wonderful weather can suddenly turn to the worst weather on the planet because this is also known as hurricane alley. Modern satellite photos allow us to see the coming disaster, but this was not the case in the recent past. The area can also have flash squalls and rogue waves that catch airplane pilots and ship captains off guard. Methane gas pockets under the ocean floor are another threat. A methane eruption causes methane bubbles in the ocean that reduce the effective density. A ship surrounded with these bubbles will sink like a rock in seconds without a trace.

Media Myth No. 10 - Life Found on Mars

The landscape on Mars looked like a face only a few years ago, but it has now disappeared. It was changed by dust storms in a gradual process of erosion. The theory that the face was made by aliens thousands or millions of years ago was blown away by the dust as well. The face was simply a natural phenomena.

The media carried the following story on February 16, 2005.

Signs of Current Life on Mars, Researchers Claim
"A pair of NASA scientists told a group of space officials at a private meeting here that they have found strong evidence that life may exist today on Mars, hidden away in caves and sustained by pockets of water. The scientists, Carol Stoker and Larry Lemke of NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, told the group that they have submitted their findings to the journal Nature for publication in May, and their paper currently is being peer reviewed."

Two days later NASA released the following statement recanting the finding of life on Mars.

NASA Statement on False Claim of Evidence of Life on Mars
"News reports on February 16, 2005, that NASA scientists from Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, Calif., have found strong evidence that life may exist on Mars are incorrect. NASA does not have any observational data from any current Mars missions that supports this claim. The work by the scientists mentioned in the reports cannot be used to directly infer anything about life on Mars, but may help formulate the strategy for how to search for martian life. Their research concerns extreme environments on Earth as analogs of possible environments on Mars. No research paper has been submitted by them to any scientific journal asserting martian life."

In another story the media played into the hands of over-zealous scientists who came to the strange conclusion that a rock on Earth is evidence of life on Mars. They claimed that the mixture of gases in the rock proved it came from Mars because the Mars Viking probe measured similar gases in the present-day atmosphere of Mars. This is a rash assumption. Mars gases at the time the rock was formed 16,000,000 years ago (according to scientists) most certainly were not the same as they are today. To assume that the Martian atmosphere has not changed in 16 million years is ridiculous. In reality, this is just a coincidence. These guys are really getting desperate. One can never tell where a rock comes from, but the only likely source is from a volcano on Earth. Click on the image below to see an enlargement.

Rock on Earth Proves Life on Mars?
"ALH 84001 was found in Antarctica during the 1984-1985 Antarctic summer. It was found by a team of meteorite hunters from the ANSMET program, which is sponsored by the Polar Programs Office of the U.S. National Science Foundation. "

"It’s nearly certain that ALH 84001 is from Mars, even though people have never been to Mars and no rocks have ever been collected on Mars. In fact, there are 11 other meteorites, called the SNCs, that are also almost certain to be from Mars. The strongest evidence for their martian origin is that they, including ALH 84001, contain traces of gas that is just like the martian atmosphere. We know the composition of the martian atmosphere, because the Viking Lander spacecraft analyzed it, on Mars, in 1976. The martian atmosphere is really different from the Earth’s atmosphere, or Venus’, or any other source of gas that’s ever been found."

"To get off Mars, ALH84001 must have left its surface going faster than Mars’ escape velocity, about 5 kilometers per second (about 11,000 miles per hour). The only known natural process that can get rocks moving so fast is meteorite impact--volcanoes can’t throw rocks fast enough. If a large enough meteorite or asteroid hit Mars, some rocks nearby on Mars’ surface would be blasted up faster than the escape velocity and could leave Mars completely. The best estimates are that an asteroid bigger than about 1/2-2 kilometers could launch rocks like ALH 84001 off Mars and into space. The best estimate is that ALH 84001 landed on Earth, in Antarctica, about 13,000 years ago."

"Dr. Chris McKay and co-workers observed elliptical, rope-like, and tubular structures in fractures in the carbonate mineral globules; they interpret the structures as possible fossil bacteria. These structures are so small, each only 20 to 100 billionths of a meter across (or nanometer, abbreviated “nm”), that they could only be seen with an advanced electron microscope."

Mt Erebus is a 3800-meter active volcano on Antarctica's Ross Island. Finding a volcanic rock such as ALH84001 near the volcano is not unexpected. The rock has crystalline lines which scientists thought were mineral deposits that replaced bacteria. This assumption was far fetched. The lines are simply strings of crystals that normally form on Earth in a magnetic field. The rock shows signs that it was formed in a magnetic field like on Earth. Mars does not have a magnetic field, but scientists claim that it did in the past. This entire story is another rocky speculation. They fabricate a string of nearly impossible occurrences based on wild assumptions that end with a grandiose conclusion.

"They believe the volcano erupted about 2,000 years ago, and would have burst through its ice covering, producing a burst of steam and rocky debris."

"It showed a layer of volcanic ash - highly reflective to radar - that had been deposited on the ice surface and subsequently buried under successive years of snow in what are now the Hudson Mountains."

The atmosphere of Mars contains methane gas. Scientists quickly concluded there must be life on Mars methane is produced by living organisms. They are searching for water below the surface the swamp on the surface went missing. The dirt left behind has no evidence of present or past life forms. It is sterile.

The explanation for methane on Mars is rather obvious. Methane is normally discharged by volcanoes, and Mars has many volcanoes. So far, Olympus Mons on Mars is the largest volcano ever found in our solar system. Olympus Mons rises 67,000 feet (22 km) above the surface of Mars, making it nearly three times taller than Mount Everest. The center of the volcano dropped, leaving the steep inside wall of the calderas 9,100 feet (3 km) high. Olympus Mons is absolutely gigantic. The horizontal line is not a road. Methane on Mars should be a normal expectation. Methane asteroids are also a real possibility. The asteroid that hit Siberia in 1908 was probably a methane ball that exploded before impact with the ground. Methane on Mars does not prove life ever existed there.

The surface of Mars is sterile and life cannot survive there.

NASA Discovers a Rabbit Hole on Mars - Oh, Isn't it Wonderful?

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory division of NASA believes they have finally proven that evolution is true. An unsubstantiated comment made by one of the mission leaders about the first photos received back from the May 25, 2008 mission, "Oh, isn't it wonderful? We landed right in front of a rabbit hole. Oh, this is the most exciting time in history. Charles Darwin was not a nut case. Evolution is true. God bless our mission. Oops, I didn't mean to say God bless." No! It is not a rabbit hole, stupid, and evolution is false.

NASA wastes billions of dollars trying to find life beyond Earth. The success rate is ZERO. All of their efforts have been and will continue to be a total failure. They could have spent the money for missions that would benefit us, but no. They insist on the unrelenting search to prove the false Theory of Evolution.

Schizophrenia is defined as a mental illness in which one keeps doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result. The sufferer has hallucinations, delusions, and a failure to separate false mental thoughts from reality. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory has a severe case of mass schizophrenia.

What next? Well, we can expect the lies to begin coming from the mission leaders. If they can't find life on Mars, they will simply make up some lies that they have. This is posted May 26, 2008. Let's see how long it takes for them to come forth with the first lie. Stay tuned.

NASA: "There's ice out there!"

NASA is simply having a hissy fit, meltdown because they have discovered ice on Mars. Wow! Click the image to see an enlargement of the pictures taken on June 15 and June 19, 2008. The fact is they do not really know if it is ice. All they know is that the white stuff appears to have dissipated somewhat between the two dates. They claim it is ice that has evaporated. NASA, why didn't you place a mass spectrometer on the lander to positively identify compounds?

Let us analyze NASA's actions here. They spent millions of dollars on this Mars lander for the primary purpose of determining if water ice still exists in the surface soil. The first scoop of soil revealed a white substance that look a lot like water ice, but they have no way to make a definitive test. They didn't provide an instrument on a movable arm to test the soil for composition. They can only guess. They say it looks like water ice because some evaporated. This isn't proof. Carbon dioxide ice (common dry ice) evaporates the very same way. In fact, as the Martian winter approaches the lander will be covered in carbon dioxide dry ice. Common logic would say that the white substance in the soil is dry ice that got covered by silt blown by the frequent Martian sand storms, not water ice. This borders on mass Ph.D. insanity or mass stupidity. Where do they they find these people to hire? They don't have a lick of common sense. This is a total embarrassment to the United States.

The researchers claim the soil that was dumped into the lander test chamber contains water. This is highly questionable the lander has Earth water that was placed aboard for use in the test chamber to measure the pH. The soil is said to be slightly alkaline and suitable for life. Where are the plants and bugs? The experiments would have been much more credible if the lander had NOT taken aboard water from the Earth. OK, they say they found water, but where did the water come from, Mars or Earth? NASA has contaminated the lander test chamber by taking water from Earth to Mars.

Well, it certainly could be water ice because there is a frozen lake nearby. Duh?

NASA's Mars Rovers should have been performing more meaningful experiments rather than concentrating their efforts on experiments to find life. There is no life on Mars. That is intuitively obvious. Correction. There is not any life on Mars that originated on Mars. There is life on Mars placed there by NASA. The many Martian exploratory crafts sent from Earth have contaminated the planet. This negligence has made it impossible to clearly classify any future life form.

Almost weekly NASA announces that new pictures of the Mars terrain indicate that water may have once flowed there. Hello, NASA? Are you there? Did you somehow miss the pictures taken by the European ESA Mars Express satellite? Open your eyes. You can see the frozen lake sitting there today. You can also see that no ice skaters have evolved ---- yet.

July 28, 2005 - A water ice lake has been found in a crater near the North Pole of Mars. The ice lake is bright blue in color. Life forms similar to those on Earth would have given the lake a greenish-blue color. This water ice lake should prove conclusively when explored by a Lander or satellite instruments that no life forms of any type ever existed on Mars. A Mars explorer could be sent to drill through the ice into the ground below. This test would quickly show that life never existed at any time, but this explorer will never be sent. The goal of scientists is not to prove life never existed on Mars. The goal is to keep the question alive. This is a Ph. D. welfare program. The managers, scientists, and machinery contractors have plans for those future pay checks, such as buying a new sports car, taking a fancy vacation, and sending their children to college.

Who Cares If There’s Ice on Mars? New York Times - June 26, 2008.

In the late 1960's the E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company relaxed the discipline at their massive research campus near Wilmington, Delaware. The Ph.D.s were allowed to come to work barefooted, unshaven, and unbathed. This was the beginning of the hippy movement. Prior to this time DuPont made monumental achievements in chemistry in the development of Freon, neoprene, Lycra, nylon, Teflon, Mylar, Tyvek, Kevlar, Nomex, Corian, and thousands of other chemical products. That was the height of achievement at the center. The undisciplined, barefoot Ph.D.s produced next to nothing. The NASA program is the same way. The current employees are old hippies that "feel good" about the project but forgot to place the instruments aboard to achieve any significant discoveries. They can't even measure the obvious water ice on the surface of Mars.
